We have never done elf on the shelf, but this year we did decide to do the Shepherd on the Search. He’s a cute little guy looking for baby Jesus and gets lost along the way. Which means every night he needs to hide… and the kids have to find him. Then Christmas morning he’ll find his way to the manger and finally be able to see the newborn king.
